Short and sweet

I am typing one handed while Wyatt sleeps on my shoulder and Nathan rages in the background.  Going to bed is HARD for him.  Hell, it's hard on all of us when Nathan goes to bed!  Life here has been hectic hence the lag of blogging.  Summer "vacation" has had its ups and downs.  I find juggling both kids to be absolutely exhausting and it is made more so by Wyatt's need to wake up and eat.  But here we are over halfway through.  I can't believe that vacay is almost over.  Having this time off did get me to take more pictures of Wyatt since I pretty much suck at that!

Wyatt is hilarious.  He's a drooling, clingy mess these days.  He doesn't want to sit, he'd much rather stand.  Never mind the fact he can't actually stand on his own. He cries like someone killed his puppy whenever I leave his sight.  This does get old.  But he is still very laid back and has the most beautiful smile!

Nathan is a trip.  He talks and repeats everything you say.  Gotta watch every word because the other day he was walking around saying "Oh shit" over and over.  He's grown so tall and is getting skinny, but he still has a big belly.  He loves Wyatt for the most part, but can't understand why he can't sit on him.

So I am trying to get an update in before the weekend starts, because every weekend is so hectic, I don't even have time to think!

Wyatt is a hoot.  He is so different from Nathan.  He is totally laid back, he doesn't cry much, he sleeps really well.  It's like having a totally different kid!  Ha.  Having a kid that takes a pacifier or sucks his thumb is interesting.  When we are in the car he might start to fuss, but I stick the pacifier in his mouth and he crashes out.  Makes driving so much easier.  He doesn't need it all the time though so that is nice.  He also doesn't use me as a paci and my boobs are thankful for that. He smiles all the time.  It's very adorable.

Nathan is a different hoot.  He hasn't really been himself lately and I think it's a combination of jealousy, not enough cuddle time, the rash and allergies.  He was doing great this week but yesterday he got into the towel the cat lays on and his whole face got blotchy and itchy.  I think that made him grouchy because last night he threw a monster fit.  It took until almost 10 pm to get him to sleep.  Silly boy.  He is starting to say a lot more words.  His new phrase is when he drops something he says "Oh dear".  It's hilarious.  he also says door and hello.

So overall things are going well.  Life is hectic but we are surviving.

The boys

Life is crazy but the boys are crazier

There are just not enough hours in the day to accomplish all the things I set out to do. So needless to say the blog gets shorted!

So what's going on here? Wyatt first.

He laughs, he rolls over (sometimes) he's generally just a laid back kid with some crazy hair. He usually only wakes up twice in the night to eat. It's great for my sleep but when I wake up I am dying with too much milk. Oh I know you don't want to read about my boobs! TOO BAD! Ha. He takes a paci and that has been really interesting. I can lay him down in bed on his side with his paci and he goes to sleep. WTF? Nathan NEVER did that. He has been struggling with some snot issues. He tends to wake up at 3:40 and We have to get up and do the snot sucker. Not fun.

Now Nathan. Where do I start? Oh yeah with a shot of vodka because this kid is driving me nuts! He whines, he cries, he screams. Why? I have no earthly idea. He just gets pissed at whatever and then it's like two hours of hell. Today we are doing better. I made sure to really cuddle with him after he woke up. That seemed to help a bit. When he's not being a major pain, he's so much fun. He loves his cars, balls, and of course, elmo. Elmo saves us when nothing else works. He loves to give Wyatt kisses. He's really a good kid most of the time. I guess we'll keep him.

Wyatt sucks his thumb

A bunch of malarky

I've been meaning to sit down and post a really long post but I can't really seem to find the time. I was going to do it at work, but as we saw this week, teachers are not allowed to do anything no work related at work.

The boys are doing well. Nathan caught another cold and hasn't been able to shake it. He's still has a nose full of snot. It's not fun but other than that he doesn't seem to feel bad. Wyatt caught it too but was only a little congested. We've been sleeping in the recliner all freaking week. It ended up causing an ear infection. Yeah! I know that studies say just to use pain reliever and antibiotics aren't needed, but it's hard to turn it down when you have a 2 month old that refuses to nurse and has been screaming for 4 hours. Yikes!

I have photos of Wyatt on my phone so those will be uploaded later. He has started sucking his thumb. I'm kinda liking that he sucks his thumb. I hope that it can soothe him on some of the rides home when he is pitching a major fit. :)

Just a short bit

I have so much to say but I am not feeling really inclined to share right now. School is out again tomorrow due to a shortage of water and gas. David is sick. I am exhausted. And that pretty much sums it up. But Wyatt took a bottle today. :)

RSV sucks

So I know I haven't been on here in awhile. Life has been busy. But everyone is healthy again and life has returned to our new normal.

So what is new? Well, Wyatt is starting to smile and interact more. I wish I could say that he is sleeping well, but I'm not going to lie. Well, maybe the problem is that he is sleeping well in the morning hours, but the night time hours are not as great. He doesn't want to eat too much when we are sleeping so I wake up totally full of milk, and in some serious pain!

Nathan is doing well. He is going to bed now with the minimal amount of fuss but still wakes up 2-3 times a night. Most of the time David just tells him to lay down and he goes back to sleep, but I don't know why he is waking up in the first place. He also loves to give Wyatt kisses. I have to put a stop to it eventually because he will spend 10-15 minutes just kissing.

I have just about 1.5 weeks left before I go back to work. I am sure that it's gonna be quite the adjustment, but I am not as nervous about it as I was with Nathan. Mainly because I know that it's gonna be hell and I am ready for it. Well, I at least know that life will go on.

They lie!

Sporting the newest in Swedish fashion (thank you!)

Such big eyes you have! And you can totally see his chipped tooth!

Crashed in the big chair

I don't know who they are, but who ever said that having another would just double the difficulty was lying!

Life has been interesting around here. Nathan has taken to waking up in the middle of the night and staying up for 2-3 hours. Sometimes he spends those hours just hanging with dad, sometimes he spends it screaming at the top of his lungs! Last night he slept through, which was a good thing. Otherwise I was putting his ass on Craigslist this morning.

Wyatt is doing very well. He's growing so fast I can hardly believe it. Even though he is very big, he seems so small next to the big dude. Nathan weighed in at 32 pounds this week. The kid is big! He's so solid. When you pick him up, and you must or meltdown, it's like lifting a small tree trunk. He seems to be ok with Wyatt, but definitely have some jealousy issues. He wants to be in my lap when I am nursing. I tried to let him but he doesn't know how to just sit and be.

Big fat cheeks!

Wyatt's first bath. He hated it.
