Nathan has discovered that he can climb onto chairs, and the couch and he does this every chance he gets. I know that we have tile floors and it will hurt him to fall but I really believe he has to do it. The more we try to discourage him the more he wants to do it.
He had a fever last week that we finally managed to break Monday morning. This was then followed up with a full body rash on Tuesday. I think (and the nurse at the pediatrician's office agrees) that it was most likely roseola. He still has a bit of the rash, but it never seemed to bother him. He is also cutting two new teeth. These will be teeth 13 and 14. Almost a full mouth. He just needs two more on the bottom and a few molars and he will be complete. These teeth are crooked. I am hoping that he doesn't get me wonderful orthodontics but who knows. Enough prattling on, I am going to bed.

That's right people, we still haven't solved the nightly sleep battle. Crying it out doesn't seem to work. He just gets all worked up and it takes that much longer to get him down. Plus, sometimes he cries so much he pukes. Never a good thing. Some nights it's like a miracle, he'll take his bottle and crash right out. Other nights it's a two hour battle just to get him to lay down. Tonight, well, we just finished the first hour....
He has been pretty sick for the last two weeks. I am not sure if it was a cold or allergies. He even went through a non-eating phase. Pretty strange for a kid that eats everything. He finally got over that, had a 102 fever for a few days, but now seems to be back to normal.
We have kinda settled on two names for the new baby. I'm not revealing yet because I am still pondering which one I like best...
He is finally waving bye on a regular basis. He will even wave when I am leaving him at the sitter, but then he runs over to me to get one last hug.

Why is it that Nathan will go to sleep well for David, for the sitter, for his grandmothers, but fights it all the time with me? I think it's just some sort of mind game he likes playing. He is currently throwing a hissy in the crib because he doesn't want to go to sleep. Too bad little dude.
He does sleep a lot on the weekends, I think to catch up on from the week. We have started putting him down earlier so he can get more sleep, and he takes two good naps at the sitter but he is usually ready for bed at about 7:30. Anyway...
Not much new is going on here. He is running around the house like a little monster. He does good with his balance but sometimes he runs into things. Today he ran right into the wall. It was funny but then he was really upset so no laughing. Maybe that's why he won't go to sleep for me. It's payback for laughing at him!
