Back from Vacation

I can't believe how fast Spring Break has flown by! We had a good time in Tucson, but I got way too much sun. The sad thing is the day I got burnt it was only 63 degrees. And I had 30 spf on my face and my nose still got burnt! Bastards.

Here are a few pics from our trip. Turns out that we are not much of photographers so there aren't many pics.

Nicole sent over all of Tylers stuff and now I have a crib full of clothes! Seriously, it's overflowing. So I went to Target and got some tubs to separate all the clothes by size. That will be one of my weekly tasks since my weekend is filling up quickly. I am going to Alamogordo tomorrow to see the old father (hahaha), and Sunday I need to do homework. Hopefully I can get my homework done so I can focus on what I need to do for work.

The wind is blowing here like typical spring in Las Cruces. I hate the freaking wind! We had a 15 degree drop in temperature from yesterday to today. Mom said that it was even snowing in Alb. Luckily we don't have to deal with that snow crap here!

I wanted to include a picture of Tater in his giant bed. He just looks so comfortable. And usually he can't get there because Gizmo is on thebed. He's such a baby he won't kick her off the bed! So he's scared of a cat. Poor Tater.

Here's the latest picture. This is 30w1d. I had an appointment yesterday and I had some protein in my urine. They aren't concerned right now since my BP was low, but I am trying hard to do everything right these two weeks so I don't have that problem next time. That means lots of fluids, strangely enough lots of protein, and exercise. I am still coughing up a lung but I think I am ready to start walking in the evening. It's just so ironic that as soon as I decided to exercise I got sick. Bastards.

And if you are wondering where you can get a great pair of pink flannel pajama pants, well, I don't know what to tell you. I have had these for a long time! :)

We're home

We had a good time in Tucson. I got a little too much sun, but hey, what's vacay for anyway?

The animals are happy to see us. I know that they enjoyed hanging with one of their grandmothers. The funny thing is this weekend I am going to Alamo and then next Thursday I am going to Albuquerque. I think that might be the end of my traveling for a while. I hate driving in the car.

We stayed at the casino and had a great time. Last night David gave in to his stomach and had this huge banana split. Here's a picture.

Tomorrow I have a checkup. Should be fun. So far I am measuring 1 week ahead. I didn't gain much weight so maybe I am on track. He sure has been kicking like crazy lately. I like to watch the belly move. It's like a small alien is living in there.

Yea for Vacay!

We are here in Tucson. The drive was not bad at all, especially since David drove the whole way. I love that! I managed to finish an entire book on the drive.

We are staying at the Casino. The hotel part is very new so our room is really nice. There aren't very many people at the hotel at all. We went to the casino part and played some slots but it's so miserable with all the smokers. It did not help my cough one bit. I did win $120 on a slot machine. Score!

We have Brewers vs. Rockies tomorrow. I am excited even though it's not supposed to be very warm. I do hope it reaches at least 70 so I can get some Vitamin D production going!

Turns out I am not SuperWoman!

Who would have thunk it? I have been laid low by the dreaded sinus/respiratory infection. I seriously think I have pulled about half my back muscles coughing. I want to just die. I took off Tuesday and went to the Dr. She gave me antibiotics (yuck) and Vicodin. Yeah, vicodin. Turns out that cough suppresants are not safe but Vicodin is perfectly ok. Whatever. I haven't taken one but I think tonight might be the night. I didn't sleep at all last night. Whenever I get near horizontal, it feels like I am suffocating. The coughing gets 10 times worse, and I can't sleep when I am coughing!

So I am taking off tomorrow as well. I need to speed up the recovery so that next week when I am in Tucson I can enjoy myself.

So here are some pictures of the nursery. We still need to decorate some, but it's painted, the furniture is in and the clothes are washed!

Also here is my 29 week belly pic. It's getting larger!

Damn Allergies

Seriously, I am dying here. The sinus pressure is overwhelming. I am frustrated since I can't even really take anything for it. The ONE tylenol I can have takes the edge off but the pain is still there. I take benadryl at night but that's not really working too well. I sound so happy don't I? I am better than I was on Tuesday. I cried over pretty much anything that day. :)

We have about 6 working days until Spring Break. I can hardly wait. We are going to Tucson and I am going to get some sun.

Here's the 28 week picture. Today at work some random man that I don't see very often, sees me and says, Wow look at how fat she is! Fuck you buddy. I can take that from someone I actually know, but if you don't know a person why would you say that?

The little shit has been very active these days. It's like he's moving furniture. I want to tell him that he's not going anywhere for a while so chill man!

I went for my massage today. It was so awesome. I love Roberta. Turns out the reason that I am having such pain is I have a huge knot under my shoulder blade. She tried to get it out but she did manage to loosen it a bit. Maybe going back on the calcium will help.

I had a good day of doing not much. I got up and went to do the glucose test. The drink wasn't too bad but after I chugged it I wanted to puke. That feeling lasted about 30 minutes. The blood draw was nothing since I have such huge veins. You would have to be blind to not get a good stick.

I am looking for resources on how to manage pain during birth. I ordered Ina May's Guide to Childbirth, but it's mostly stories. I need actual strategies to use in birth. I am aiming for a so called "natural birth". I know it's going to be hard, but that's what I would like. Any suggestions?

David took the day off today and is currently painting the baby's room. I am so excited! The paint looks good. He painted one wall blue and the rest a green color. It totally goes with the bedding. I can hardly wait. I am going to start washing all the various clothes as soon as I get it arranged to my liking. I will post pictures soon!

I had such a good day at work today. It was laid back and not stressful. AP bio was a little hard but we worked through it. I am taking off Monday to do the glucose test. I get some freaky satisfaction about leaving things perfect for the sub. It's weird. I want to take a picture and show someone!

I have figured out where the weight is going. It's (obviously) going partly to the belly, but also the thighs. I tried on a pair of pants I used to wear because they fit low, and they were so tight on the thighs it wasn't funny!

Time changes this weekend so it will be lighter later. It's already been in the mid 80's here so I have no excuse for not taking Tater for a walk when I get home. We can wait for David to watch chunky and take off then. It will be light till 7 pm so it's totally doable. Plus, I am already staying late two days a week so Karen can work out. I need to join the club and at least walk. The track kids are practicing so maybe I will just walk the halls. It will help to relieve some of this stress I am carrying in my back.

I have a massage scheduled for Monday at 5. Holy crap I can hardly wait! So many exciting things...

Yesterday I was wearing a cami top that I got from Nicole and David took one look at my belly and said "Man you are getting pregnant". Yeah, thanks. :)

What no comments?

Seriously, no one leaves any comments. I feel sad. :(

Totally wiped out this week. I can't seem to get enough sleep. I have been dragging ass all week. All I can think about is napping and then when I have a chance, I can't sleep. Fabulous.

The pain under my shoulder blade is getting worse and worse. I am trying to get in for a massage next week. That will feel so good!

I don't want this to be a downer post, so here's some pictures! Now you can see my belly button is slowly disappearing! Pics are 27w0d.
